Click on the title of the prompt to read it.
As Achtom and Ohnir flow into each other, the skies are still gorgeously blue and dotted with high fluffy clouds that never seem to threaten rain - so long as the weather stays controlled. Businesses are picking back up, the natives starting to cater once again to flesh-bodied people with varied amounts of success. The VR cafes are featuring more helmets so even more people can play along with the ever expanding selection of games. Overall, it seems like Havenwell is quite the peaceful city.
But there are still some issues to be had...
❥ PROMPT I: Where's the Pied Piper?

All Achtom, the residents have been dealing with things in characters' houses seemingly moving of their own volition to other parts of the house and going temporarily missing, returning chewed upon by the mice that have overtaken Havenwell. By the time the new wave of arrivals come, the worst of it is over, but there are still some pesky little temple familiars running about the city!
The noises at night aren't as terrible as they once had been, but the squeaking and chattering in the walls and ceiling is still noticeable. It's still difficult to sleep at night for all the noise throughout the long night hours. Trying to find the source is a surefire way to drive yourself mad, but it seems that sleeping in the same bed with another person makes it a little easier to bear, especially if you hold hands or touch throughout the night.
Pink and purple rodents of various sizes from panda mouse tiny to chihuahua-sized rats are still popping up all over the city. It seems the only place they aren't is where they're supposed to be - Ainea's temple - and that's a big problem. While many have been returned thanks to the offworlders' efforts, Ainea's temple priests are still out in the city, begging residents both robotic and flesh to peacefully and carefully capture the creatures and return them home to the temple. They pass out soft woven reed baskets to any who agree and thank all participants heartily for their help.

❥ PROMPT II: We Didn't Start This Fire
Throughout the month, pockets of the city experience magnificent dry lightning storms. Before each onset of the storm, an immense clap of thunder booms across the entire city like a siren and the natives hold their figurative breaths until the first strike rains down. A peal of lightning, searing hot, strikes the ground or hits the spires of nearby buildings, cracking stone and leaving nasty burn marks behind. Each storm is only 4 to 5 minutes in length before they suddenly disappear again, but in those few minutes chaos reigns. For anyone unlucky enough to get caught amid one of these storms, take cover! Residents throw open doors and push people inside, even shielding the offworlders with their own bodies if necessary to keep them from getting harmed.
When the lightning and its sonorous booms pass, residents scurry out to repair the damage. They'll be asking nearby offworlders to help as well with patching the stonework or removing broken debris. Most importantly, they put out a call for help in putting out fires that spring up after each storm. Their metal bodies can't withstand the heat for long without melting and the water is dangerous to their circuitry. After the fires are put out and the damage repaired, on occasion, residents will ask for the somber help of pulling a native robot unlucky enough to take a direct hit from the lightning to a local repair shop. Strangely, the natives don't seem sad when their friends and family can't be repaired, and instead start gathering up objects from home to take with them to the temples along with the bodies. When asked, they say it's to pray for a rebirth and go on their way.

❥ PROMPT III: Let's Play the Friend Connection

With all the craziness going on, some people might just want a distraction. A lot of Havenwell's natives certainly seem to think so. Despite everything, the Entertainment District is as bustling as ever and this month the offering is to participate with a friend or group of friends to play a game called: Friend Connection. Rather than the usual plug in and sit configuration, this time the VR cafes have been reorganized into 3 meter by 3 meter square pads with no chairs or furniture available. Players plug in or put their helmets on and they're instantly transported to a garish neon-lighted stage with multicolored spotlights that show a floating, legless robot with a rainbow bowtie and a magnificent mustache. The robot's LED face lights up into the approximation of the :D emote and then a disembodied voice comes from speakers overhead:
"Hail, well met, and welcome to the hottest game show around: Friend Connection! As the studio audience already knows, this game is simple! You and your new friends compete to complete more challenges than the other hidden team. The more fabulously you and your team completes each task, the more points you'll be awarded. At the end of the game, the team with the most tasks cleared and the highest point value will be declared the winners and take home some fabulous prizes. On today's team is..."
And the robotic host waves an arm to a scoreboard behind it, showing your names. The heading "Other Team" has ???? underneath it and a list of challenges is revealed along with a burst of applause. The list reads:
Are you ready, contestants? You have 20 minutes. Good luck!
At the end of the game, the characters are declared the winners by a slim and, naturally, exciting margin of just one point! And their fabulous prize......? The friendship they earned along the way! Congratulations, players! And don't worry, when the game ends, you'll be in the exact weird position you were last in as the helmets turn off. Hopefully you aren't still in those weird Twister positions because everyone can and has been able to see you. Yup, the entire time.

- Play Twister until someone falls! The longer you go, the more points you win!
- Help each other do a handstand! The Wheelbarrow is acceptable too.
- Recreate your favorite scene from a romantic movie. Take, for example, That Scene from the hit movie, Skytanic! Or hum along to this song as you and your friend make some pottery together.
- Create a complicated Best Friend Handshake consisting of more than 5 moves and do it together 3 times without messing up!
- Answer trivia questions about each other and your worlds while holding hands and staring into each other's eyes. The more questions you can answer, the higher your points!
- Do a trust fall into your friend's arms. The higher or further you fall, the more points you'll earn.
- Play two truths and a lie with your friend. If you can guess correctly, you'll earn points for your team!

Hopefully you aren't still in those weird Twister positions because everyone can and has been able to see you. Yup, the entire time.
❥ PROMPT IV: Comic Logic
Although Achtom is waning and Ohnir beginning, Diacht's influence is still going strong. Throughout their day as they go about their daily routines, helping people out or trying to find their missing items, the natives stop looking at them and start looking above their heads. In fact, as characters meet one another, their attention may also be drawn vertically above their companion because floating above every offworlder's head is a faint white cloud. Whenever they move, the cloud moves too. Attempts to dispel it by magic or physical means does nothing and it seems like you can't touch it at all.
It's annoying isn't it? Or maybe you're feeling quite curious about this phenomenon? Or maybe it scares you? Whatever you're feeling or thinking, it shows up in that cloud clear as day. It's not every thought or feeling that shows and attempts to control what appears fails, but you're now broadcasting your innermost self to the world.
For a time at least. Smart characters might notice that after prolonged physical contact with another character, the cloud fades away and stays away for an undetermined amount of time. Sometimes it's an hour, sometimes it's a day, sometimes it's only 5 minutes, and then it begins to reform again. Whatever it is, it's here to stay, so good luck keeping your secret inner workings, well, secret.

❥ PROMPT V: Buddy System

With all the changes going on, it might be hard to be a new arrival to Havenwell. The natives understand! Sort of. When new arrivals begin to appear at the temples, receive the welcome speech, get their communicators and the simple map of the city, they get taken to the front of the temple by a helpful robotic priest. Rather than turn the newcomers loose right away, they pull someone seemingly at random off the street and push the two people together with a cheerful, "Here's your guide to Havenwell! It's dangerous to go alone, so be buddies!" before going back inside. They try to place a new arrival with one of those who previously arrived, but who can keep track of all that, right? Characters may find themselves thrown together with an actual veteran or with another new arrival who only came here a day or even just an hour before them! Good luck helping each other out, offworlders, and don't lose your buddy!
Have fun however you like with the setting! Make a network post, make up other prompts based on the general setting, go wild. Havenwell is your oyster.

So if a new arrival wanted to go to the gardens and has no currency to pay the fee, what options do they have available? Asking because my girl is planning to sneak into the botanical garden with Ardyn, for context!

Noctis Lucis Caelum | Final Fantasy XV
[Talk about disorienting. Most of his basic questions had been answered by the overly helpful robot (who is not a magitech trooper, turns out, which made his near-incident with a sword even more awkward) and he'd been shooed out the door in record time, but that still leaves him abandoned on the street with some poor sucker who's been wrangled into guiding him around.]
Uh, hey. Sorry?
[wtf just happened?]
( I: pied piper - prince or princess? )
[While most people are having a hard time with the mice, Noctis is... surprisingly okay. He can sleep through almost anything anyway- car crashes, migraines, phone alarms- so a bit of squeaking barely makes him twitch. They're kind of annoying during the day, though, and as much as he'd like to he can't actually sleep 24/7, which means he has to deal with them like everyone else.
So today he's seated on the ground just outside one of the houses, next to a small chipped hole in the foundation, with an arrangement of fruits, nuts, and cheeses on a pillowcase nearby. His intent had been to catch them, but they'd filtered out of the house so cautiously and begun nibbling away, and he hadn't wanted to scare them, but then they started to sniff at HIM instead...
So yeah, he's surrounded by mice now, and looks perfectly okay with it. They're cute, what else is he supposed to do?]
Man, you guys are really hungry...
( IV: thought bubble )
[Since noticing the clouds popping up over people's heads, Noctis is intrigued but also wary about his own, especially since it seems to frequently shift to the same woman over and over, though the images seem a little grainy, as if based on a photo or a newspaper clipping. A few other faces also pop in from time to time, one that some might find familiar, another equally familiar but a little different than usual, alongside some strange scenery and occasionally a stylish car].
The whole thing is a jarring experience, but he's nosy about what he might see above others around town, so he's people-watching as he explores the unfamiliar streets.
He might also just end up lounging on a park bench to take a cat nap and dream of fluffy chocobos instead, because who wouldn't?]
( wildcard! )
[Ping me via PM or
iv
[Then he made the mistake of looking at who it was standing under the cloud, the woman's image flickering into that of a young man wearing a cold smirk. Ardyn took half a step back, almost defensive as he stared at Noctis in recognition that wasn't quite recognition, rapidly trying to make sense of the impossible.]

Mira Delacroix ♥ Original
[ Of course Mira's going to help! She loves animals, and mice and rats don't freak her out. She has a few baskets in her arms, and as she spots a little cluster of the creatures, she kneels down. ]
Hi there... Can I take you somewhere safer than this? I promise I'll be gentle.
[ Sometimes it works! Especially whenever she reaches out with her powers. But sometimes she just ends up frightening the critters, and she always seems a little put off whenever this happens. ]
There's so many of them... I'm worried they'll get hurt.
Connect Four(iends)
[ She's never done anything with VR before but, hey, there's a first time for everything. Mira plugs in, and she's more than a little startled by the whole thing. She doesn't know a lot of people here! But she's willing to play along. Whoever's nearby-- ]
... Let's do our best, right?
I'm Just a Little Black Rain Cloud....
[ At first, she hadn't noticed. But it's hard to ignore the fact that someone's looking right above her head, whenever she interacts with one of the natives. Then she'd realized that others from different worlds have a cloud above her head. It's not really annoying, just-- yeah, she's pretty curious? It manifests as a series of question marks. Unfortunately, the more she thinks, the more worried she gets. What else can be seen through the cloud?
Sometimes her cloud's a soft pink (content!) and sometimes it's a mass of static (worried). The latter is a dark, gloomy grey. ]
I don't know how to get rid of this... It's kind of invasive.
[ Kind of. ]
Budding Friendships
[ Well, this is... Hm!! Mira isn't sure how she feels about being all but shoved together with another person. It would be one thing if her partner were notified of this beforehand, but it looks like it's just a random choice...? ]
I'm sorry-- [ Even though she... really doesn't have to apologize. ] --If you were busy or you'd rather not have to show me around, I'll understand.
(( ooc; note that mira has empathy abilities; she can feel others' emotions! however, she does have the ability to block them. if you'd like me to play with this let me know, otherwise i'll err on the side of caution! ))
Budding Friendships! (also I'm cool with empathy!!!)
You could at least ask before just-... Hey, wait!
[ ... Seriously?
Seriously??
Really, Ventus isn't legitimately annoyed to a point of wanting to, say, chase them down? But he is a bit grumpy over all this. With a hint of deflating, he shakes his head at the apologizing lady. ]
No way... Don't apologize! It's not your fault they just... do this...
[ He looks around, the hint of a frown lingering on his face. ]
I'm just sorry that I can't show you around. [ rubbing at the back of his neck now, sighing softly ] Since I'm... actually pretty new myself...

Ardyn Lucis Caelum | Final Fantasy XV
[To say the man in white looked lost would have been a massive understatement. He seemed more than a bit out of sorts, simply going along with everything rather than waste time and energy questioning the matter. Even if he did, where would he begin? 'How' and 'why' all seemed rather hollow, not to mention he was sure the answers would end up being unsatisfactory.]
[Immortal life was already so goddamn weird, this might as well happen.]
[So perhaps the nearest person unlucky enough to be pulled off the street was met with a somewhat disheveled man with violet hair, gold eyes, and a clear unwillingness to deal with any of this nonsense today.]
[IV; so I'm tired of the pain, of the misery inside]
[Ardyn tried very, very hard to ignore the floating cloud over his head. Most of what the cloud showed were brief flashes, as though his mind itself was a jumbled mess. Brief visions of things like an endless snowfield, a dark room of stone...on rare occasions one could make out a spark of clashing blades or a young woman. Notably enough, that last one always seemed to disappear as quickly as it manifested--as though it was something consciously pushed aside.]
[Gods above, this place was a waking nightmare. He wanted nothing so much as to withdraw somewhere no one could possibly see any of this, but Ardyn had the sneaking suspicion it simply wouldn't be that easy.]
[wildcard; and I wish that I could live feeling nothing but the night]
[hit me with whatever, i'm easy]
V
As soon as the robot leaves the two of them alone, Akira shifts awkwardly.]

Ventus "can anyone blame him for trying to sleep through that plot" KHIII (will mark for spoilers)
[ WELL, GUESS THIS IS JUST HIS LIFE NOW...
There's a definite frown and some protest after someone's just blatantly shoved into him (alternately, he's the one being shoved - the frown and protest happen either way). But, really? None of it lasts very long. He's just going to give a resigned sort of sigh before he attempts to offer the other person a smile. ]
Guess they're... pretty determined to help all of us become friends, huh?
[ And... while he isn't the biggest fan of their tactics, so far, with some parts, he can't say he minds everything going on. In fact... he really wouldn't mind making friends with at least most of the people around here! That's probably the reason there's a hint of hope in his gaze as he continues on. ]
My name's Ventus, by the way... My friends call me Ven.
Friend Connection
[ He can't help the hint of a grin tugging at his lips as he looks at the list. ]
I've never done a Best Friend Handshake before... [ looking to his partner, a touch of excitement already blossoming in his gaze ] Wanna try it?
[ Though, excitement aside, there's... actually a bit of shyness here. ]
Comic Logic Option!
[ After a busy first day, Ventus can be found flopped in the living room of his new home. He's just... gonna lie here on the couch, absolutely facedown and unmoving for about a good... fifteen minutes, or so.
Feel free to bug him.
The cloud floating above his head shows a bunch of things as he lies there - a blue-haired lady (Aqua, for those who know her), a really tall guy, a man (making that exact expression, in fact)...
... Most frequently, however?
This guy is showing up. He even shows up right before Ventus is letting out a groan and sitting up, looking... kind of frustrated, overall. He lets out a quiet sigh, scrubbing a hand through his hair. He doesn't seem to notice anyone is standing there, yet. ]

Just be grateful you weren't in the first group of folks who showed up, they were a lot more excitable and touchy then.

At least, Vianca was fairly certain this lump was a person. She had been watching them for a little while now from across the way. It wasn’t on purpose at first. She had just been quietly observing the comings and goings of everyone else while she continued to try and ground herself. She’d never lived anywhere else truly beyond the Academy’s reach, so everything was far too new to just... jump in. But when everyone else had somewhere to be, it made it very obvious when someone didn’t.
So she’d watched. And watched. And yet still, they hadn’t gone far. Or gone at all. It had struck her that something might have been wrong, and that was the thought that had led her to hustle across the road to them.
She crouched down her teeny tiny self, peering at them a little closer.
“... Excuse me. Are you alright?”

He's not sure what to think of this worlds gods drawing him here, he's still a bit torn on the concept of God from his own home world but he's ignored the issue with some success over the last few years.
So he'll do it again with these. Even with his apparent alignment to Rawna.
What he can't ignore is the mice. At first it's annoying. He's used to living in places that were rodent-free. It makes it hard to sleep or tolerate being home during the day. There are dark circles under his eyes for the first few days until he and his roommate discover that being curled up together calms the sounds.
Before this discovery or after, anyone is welcome to find the sixteen year old with blue-black hair around his chin and an eyepatch anywhere around Havenwell. He may even give in and... try coffee...
He's so tired.]
[II - Rain rain go away]
[He hasn't been afraid of storms since he was a child, tearfully climbing in bed with his parents and letting them hold him close.
The first storm startles him but he's already home by them and it's short-lived. The next ones don't noticeably bother him either. At least, not if you don't know him well. Eventually there starts a slight tensing in his shoulders and his breathing turns a little tight, but he keeps going with whatever he was doing.
He's older, and a little stronger and taller, now than he was when he arrived in Riverview, but he's not much help with carrying any of the robots to their temples. He is curious though, following along after helping unbury them from some rubble.]
Rebirth.
[He doesn't question it but it's hard to believe something like that. Unless it has to do with the reapers. Undertaker had told him a bit about that.]
Well... good luck with that, I guess?
[IV - is this some SIMulation game?]
[The young Phantomhive does not appreciate the bubble over his head when the locals start staring at it. And that doesn't help matters, even if it's what brought the damn thing to his attention. More that once, his annoyance shows up in the bubble just a moment before he attempts to swat it away.]
Would you just go away!
[Comes one frustrated exclamation one of the times he tries shooing it away. It never works but he tries anyway. He can't help it.]
[Network]
[The sixteen year old looks almost uncomfortable as he turns on his communicator for the first time. He's never been the most social, and he's worked on it on the last couple worlds he's been too, but it's still difficult. And he's on another new world with dozens of new people.]
Bonjour. My name is Ciel- [Someone clears their throat off screen and he suddenly looks like he'd been scolded.] My name is Astre Phantomhive. I've just arrived but this is not my first time on another world. I lived in a place called Riverview for a year, and half a year in an intergalactic fleet hosting some ridiculous show. So, I'm not quite in need of aid adjusting.
I'm more curious about everyone else's thoughts about this place and the locals.
[Wildcard]
[Anything goes!]
(OOC: SPOILERS Owing to two years of story development, I've given him a headcanon name based of the authors notes since his brother has enough canon at this point to be app'able in his own right. So to avoid confusion, I'll be using that name.)
(NOTE: He is a CRAU and is sixteen at this point. A few icons reflect this but otherwise, he'll have canon icons because I worked hard on the ones I made gosh darn it.)
IV.! And also driftfleet CRAU! c:
Upon waking up in one of the temples, Abel learns of the robots, the festivals, their customs, and the entire city. He settled in a new house where he lives and learn how to use the technology. He cleans the temples, share responsibilities with the others, and at the moment, collect the rats and mice to return them back to Ainea to help out.
He sees a familiar face, though Abel's memory isn't the best at times. He is over 900 years old physically, having lived this long thanks to the nanites flowing in his bloodstream that extending his life to near immortality.
But he remembered him on the fleet. Could this be the same friend he met then?
When the teen shout to command the cloud to go away, to no avail, Abel approached him. Abel also has a cloud following him, but Abel think about is having decent food and a cup of tea.]

Vianca | Fanon OC (P...ikmin. Yes.)
The initial wake-up call hadn’t gone smoothly. The last thing Vianca had remembered was the rumbling of the earth below her, and the chaos that was her precious library walls crashing down around her. There had been darkness, and the thunderous noise had drowned everything out until it warped itself into silence. She was left with the pain and then, nothing. This time her time had run out.
Vianca was 1000% certain that she had died.
It took a long time for them to get her to uncurl out of the tight little ball she had been in, but once she did... well! Being surrounded by robots was fairly normal for her. Being ushered into a vast city she’d never seen before was not. Being shoved into an interaction with someone new was.... also normal, actually.
Congratulations on your four-foot-tall travel buddy, buddy. Vianca peered up at them, map and tablet clutched a little desperately to her chest, and gave the slightest nod. After a moment, she held out her hand.
DO YOU TAKE THE SMALL GIRL’S HAND? Y / N
I. Lost and Found
For whatever reason, Vianca had found herself swarmed by mice all day. They would come suddenly, dancing over her feet, and scurry away just as quickly. It was very strange, and she found that more often than not they were also leaving items behind? ?? Mice?? What were you doing. This had happened so frequently that she had amassed quite the treasury. Not knowing anyone in this new city, Vianca hadn’t a foggiest idea where to start looking for anyone they might have belonged to.
So Vianca had set up shop in the town square, sitting on the wall of the fountain with her array of treasures set out carefully at her feet. There were hats, trinkets, cups, books, you name it. She had her nose tucked into someone’s book, but if it happened to be yours, she was fully prepared to hand it over.
Occasionally there would be another interlude of mice, which seemed to shift some of the items around. Oh well.
Maybe something there belonged to you!
IV. Penny for Your Thoughts.
It had taken Vianca a little while to realize that there was something over her head. It just went without saying that anyone she ever interacted with was going to be looking at the top of her head! That’s what happened when people were consistently at least a foot taller than you.
The only reason she had suspected anything was because she had started to see the little clouds shifting above other peoples’ head. She had glanced up just in time to see the shifting colors above her swirl into the word “Oh,” styled in a particularly bookish serif font.
Odd as the phenomenon was, she didn’t particularly mind it. In fact, you could probably catch her sitting on the steps to Ohma’s temple, gaze turned upward as she watched the thoughts that chose to flicker into view.
Sometimes they were colors. Sometimes there were passages from books, or facts that she had read. There were flowers- pink ones and white ones. Sometimes there were other kinds of flowers, and those ones seemed to hold her attention the most when they came.
& WILDCARD
Vianca is here for you. She will hold your hand. She is very easy to pick up and drag somewhere else. Follow your sweetest dreams, friends.
!! Notes
Hello! I will follow your lead on if you want to prose it up or [Get your Action On.] Feel free to hit me up with a PM if you have questions! She also has a Opt Out post to peruse if you would prefer no fourth-walling or Tiny Text.

So he takes her hand, beaming up at her. Up! For once! He's under half her height, though he's also floating far enough off the ground that the difference isn't as great as that.
"Sorry about that! These guys aren't the most diplomatic people in the universe, huh? I've really got to have a chat with them about it."

Just outside the range of the shield, he comes and stands, not saying anything for a long moment. What is there to say, after everything?
There is nothing. No words that they have not already exchanged, nothing more to be said, and yet here he is, not looking directly at her, a particular shade of blue on the edge of his senses.
"...I've not been so close to a bolt such as that since the Second Calamity. Were you anyone else, I'd warn you inside."
Nothing to say and also everything, so start with some near-meaningless chatter, and see how she responds. No amount of planning can take the place of a good bit of improvisation, and there has never been a script to follow, in the situation they are now in.

Emet-Selch | FFXIV | SHB spoilers a near-given unless you request otherwise
[Were you hoping to catch that mouse sniffing hopefully around your door, window, or what have you?
Well, seemingly just at the very moment you ready yourself to make a capture attempt, it's gone, in a small purple-black warping of space. Looking around for the culprit will reveal a tall man, either leaning against a wall or sitting slumped forward on some ledge or bench, quite possibly somewhere he shouldn't logically be.
When he's caught, Emet-Selch gives only a wry smile.]
Concerned for the beast? You needn't worry, I've only returned it to where it belongs.
II. The storm before the calm
[He's not so foolish as to sit exposed on a rooftop, but a covered balcony is a safe enough place. There is a melancholy, almost nostalgic mood about him as the lightning rains down.
However, if you're also drafted into the repair work that follows, you might see him just... appearing to stand around and watch others work. That is, until a fire is found, at which point Emet-Selch just snaps his fingers and the flames vanished, doused by a bit of liberal application of water magic.
There's also a bit of a tendency for ruined sections of building to simply be restored, when no one is looking at them too closely. Funny how that works.]
Wildcard/etc
[Chances are, if you're one of the either lucky or unlucky few who manage to catch his interest, you'll repeatedly notice Emet-Selch out of the corner of your eye, always conveniently not actually looking in your direction. Once, twice might be a coincidence, but as the day goes on, the definition of coincidence stretches out terribly far.
And given that he seems as likely to pop up somewhere he shouldn't be as anywhere else - sitting on rooftops, on chairs on enclosed balconies - you probably won't be able to get away from his attention without confronting him. He's especially likely to get interested in anyone who has unusual abilities or Soul Nonsense going on.]
((OOC note: If you don't want spoilers let me know in your header and I will accommodate as best I can! For the canonblind, Emet-Selch is a 6'4 man and the thing on his forehead in the icons is an organ, not decorative. Also, he has no shadow, that's kind of relevant. More info can be found here at his permissions/impressions but be mindful of spoilers.))
I
On instinct, she'd stood up ramrod straight and started looking around for someone in a dark cloak like the man from the Dark Margin, or someone like Vanitas.
She looks around and only sees the man leaning against the wall. At first, she doesn't connect the dots but then the sense of Darkness around him hits her and blue eyes go wide.]
It's safe in Ainea's temple? We could get in a lot of trouble if they're hurt.

Trinity Blood | Abel Nightroad | OTA
I. Pied piper
[Abel can be seen around, rounding up the mice and rats, though clusmy in handpicking them to put in his basket. He's been a squeemish handling these animals, often nervously collect himself and even gets an "Ouchie!" from being bitten from them.
Looking at his bleeding hands and the bite marks.]
Help, I might need a band-aid or first aid.
III. Let's Play the Friend Connection
[Hanging out in the entertainment district, he's familiar with the VR cafes since he has enjoyed playing VR systems in other worlds before. Abel is being randomized into a group, and sitting next to another player.]
I know a lot of good songs and movies. Or shall we play trust fall? I'll catch you!
IV. Cloud thoughts
[Abel can't fix the replicators, so the thoughts in his cloud is nothing but food. Cakes, cookies, ice cream, a well-roasted chicken. He was a chef on the fleet and working with food, his thoughts is that of what fresh ingredients he must cook in the kitchen by hand in his house.
"What kind of cookies I should make?"
"How to make homemade ice cream?"
"How long it takes to roast a chicken?"
"I'm so far from home..."
"I would like to cook for friends...it's lonely living here...I live alone in my house"]

Sam Winchester l Supernatural
Sam was used to weird. He took what the robot said with a calm that spoke of years of dealing with stuff just like it. He smiles and agrees to whatever he needs to agree to and then walks outside. He looks over the person waiting for him and smiles. He knows he stands out at 6.4 with his long hair and layered clothing. "Uh hi there," he says holding out his hand, "I'm Sam Winchester. I hope you haven't been waiting long?"
2. Play the Piper
Sam was willing to help the second the priest came up to him. That's what Winchester did...they helped. It didn't matter if the people knew they were helping or not. He was a decent tracker too and it didn't take him long to find his first mouse. He knelt down and pulled a bit of beef jerky out of his pocket. "Hey there buddy....why don't you come with me and not get stepped on," said the gentle giant as the mouse scooted toward the food. Sam scooped up the creature without free, fed him the promised treat and popped him in the basket.
He smiled and shifted the basket moving forward to try and grab the next one, pulling yet another bit of meat out of his pocket.
3. Wildcard
[Want to find Sam somewhere else...come look for him anywhere you want.

Re: Sam Winchester l Supernatural
Leon | Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia
Well. This is... different.
Someone is having one hell of a time getting acclimated to the new environment he's found himself in, for a number of reasons. The "people" of Havenwelll? Weird. The communicator that's been shoved off on to him? Weird. The whole situation surrounding this town? Super weird. Finding himself separated against his will from his traveling party? Downright inexcusable!
It might be with a little more urgency in finding someone more capable to handle a very human outburst of confusion and indignation that Leon's given a fellow offworlder support system, but once he's partnered off with someone a little less... robotic and foreign, it seems to assuage his thorough displeasure by at least like. 5%. That's an improvement no matter how you slice it!
"All right," he seems to get, at least, that it's probably not the fault of his new Buddy that he's here, but he's still very clearly unhappy about this turn of events. "How do I get out of here? I have more important business to be taking care of."
I: Rodent Round-up
Alas, he is ultimately unable to take care of his more important business...
And instead is tasked with collecting mice? What kind of hostage scenario is this?? He's not even affiliated with the temple apparently bereft of their signature critter! "Ugh..." Is he being paid for this? Is this expected for the compensation of a free house? This place is constantly leaving him with so many questions. "If it will help me get out of here faster..." (It will not.)
So. Mouse catching duty it is. It's not glamorous work by any stretch of the imagination, but it's far less dirty than the kind of things typically expected of soldiers and mercenaries. The only real animal proficiency he has is with horses, making this a somewhat interesting new challenge, though the kind of patience learned from sneaking and sniping pays off well enough for getting close to and scooping up a rogue mouse or five.
"Aha!" In to the basket with you, friend. Is that accomplishment worth a little boasting? Yeah, why not? "Not bad, huh?"
III: Forging Friendships
VR cafes are all the rage in Havenwell! And... what exactly is a VR cafe, Leon can't help but wonder?
A trip to see for himself should be enlightening, he'd assume, but it really leaves him, once more, with more questions than answers. Modern technology is truly over his head...
He doesn't try it on right away, but he is dreadfully curious about these headsets and what exactly they entail. Most, if not all, of the other patrons here seem to know what they're doing, so anyone coming in to take these games for a spin themselves is likely to be knowledgeable enough about them to explain.
"How, exactly, do these things work? Is it some sort of spell?"
I mean. It's probably magic. You know.
IV: Wandering Wonders
For as long as the cartoonish effects are in place, Leon's can be seen shifting through a few different things. He himself being a very straightforward and honest individual, he doesn't seem to particularly mind the cloud's presence outside of a mild annoyance - it's a pain knowing that any random thing he may think of could be seen at any time! He's not in the business of keeping secrets, however, and most of the things on his mind would be easy enough to open up to anyone curious enough.
What is mostly present in his idle thoughts are fairly simple things, names crop up often, Valbar, Celica, Kamui... none that would particularly ring a bell to anyone around, probably. A tough looking, armor-clad man, appearing to be about 30, occupies a lot of thought-real estate, typically alongside sentiments such as 'Is he okay?', 'I miss him...', and 'I can't believe they took me from his side'. Thoughts he isn't ashamed of, but ones that bubble with a little more emotional intensity than he's really looking to unleash on to someone unsuspecting.
"Pesky little things, aren't they?" Once the temporary cure is known, there's no harm in seeking a respite from having eyes glance up over his head, reading out or watching whatever passes through his mind. He'll offer a hand out to anyone who may have spotted the anomaly and doesn't look particularly busy, "Would you be so kind?"
W: ild Card
[Got something else in mind? hmu with whatever your heart desires, and I'll roll with it!]
I
He could understand the frustration considering his important matters back home.
Still, this was an opportunity to learn more. Raising a hand in front of himself, he invited Leon to walk with him.
"I am Research Chief Verstael Besithia of the Imperial Army. And you are?"
(no subject)
Apologies for the late reply, life got hectic
Sadness | Inside Out
[V. Buddy System]
[As safe as this place makes her feel, Sadness still can't fight the anxiety of her current situation. Being anywhere than where she was supposed to be was a bad, bad, bad thing. And yet, she knows there's nothing she can do about it, not until she finds answers. Maybe this was like a dream, and time wasn't passing at home? She couldn't know. All she can do was try and keep everyone else's advice running through her mind. Try to take deep breaths, look over things twice, keep an eye on anything that looks important. After all, she has a keen eye for noticing things that most others tend to overlook.
She's so lost in thought that the idea of the buddy system went right over her head, and she didn't realize until someone else got pulled over to her. It's dangerous to go alone? ... That's true, and with those words she tries to muster a smile, though her demeanor betrays her uneasiness. She can do this, she can.]
U-Um, hi there.
[II. We Didn't Start This Fire]
[The storms didn't seem to bother Sadness that much; she likes rain and thunder. So she can be found standing outside, sitting down and watching/listening to the booms that crackle overhead. Unfortunately, she's not used to the fact that thunderbolts can actually hurt someone if they manage to land a hit, and even ones that strike close to her don't seem to alarm her at all.
Someone should probably get her inside and explain this to her before she gets hurt.]
[IV. Comic Logic]
[The cloud might bother a lot of people. It might even alarm them that it can broadcast their feelings.
Not Sadness, though. Her cloud was always blue, showing off her inner, well, sadness. It was her primary emotion, after all. Keen observers might also notice through hers that she's unnerved, or anxious, or even stressed. But those are all normal to her as well. And yet, she's most definitely paying attention to everyone else's, and seemingly gravitating towards anyone else that's showing signs of being sad or stressed. She's not the best at starting conversation, so it might take someone else noticing they have a small blue person staring up at them with an inquisitive look. She doesn't mean to stare, honest!]
[X. Wildcard!]
[Want to do another prompt with her? Want to change things around a little to fit your character's situation? Feel free! You can hit me up on plurk at
V - he's the worst buddy, i'm so sorry
His long elven ears twitch back as he raises an eyebrow at the greeting. What fresh hell is this now? Taako's never been great with kids, but at least he knows not to be super aggressive or rude at first. This is a kid....right?]

it'll be okay! hopefully. maybe.
at least Sadness is a smol - he's less inclined to be a total ass
Joe Tazuna | Your Turn to Die | Spoilers for Chapter 1 in V and II
[ Buddies? That didn't seem all that bad in theory. On the other hand, he had been thrown from one extremely dangerous situation to one that appeared to be much more mundane. Was it okay to just go along with this? He still had the collar, after all.
Well, maybe he should just make the most of this second chance. He'd thought he was a goner, but he was alive! Somehow! Wasn't that something to celebrate? And maybe... Just maybe, he hadn't been the only one taken away from that place. ]
This is all happening pretty fast, but nice to meet ya, new buddy!
[ I: Pied Piper ]
[ Like he could have said no when he was asked to help. Sure, he hadn't realized just how big some of the mice were. Or that they were pink and purple for some reason. Look, the point was that they were running all over the place, and that probably wasn't going to lead to good things, right? So there he was, walking to and fro with his basket and trying to coax them over to him. ]
C'mon little guy, I'm not gonna hurt you. [ He knelt down and extended a hand to one, though he had the opportunity to just drop the basket and trap the mouse inside. Unfortunately for him, it simply scampered away. ]
Aw man... [ He stood back up. ] This is tougher than I thought it’d be!
[ II: Fire ]
[ He had been one of the people to ask why the natives didn't seem sad at losing people who were presumably important to them. The answer gave him something to think about.
“Pray for a rebirth?” He wondered if people were doing the same for him. Though if asked he only had the following to say with a cheerful smile: ]
It’s nice to hope for things like rebirth, don’tcha think?
[ III: Friend Connection ]
[ He was a little wary of participating in a game without knowing the details. This talk of points and teams sent a chill down his spine to be honest. Maybe not this time. Still...maybe he would just stick around to make sure it was all on the level. Just in case.
He finally let out a sigh when after a few games it seemed like the worst anyone was experiencing was maybe falling down and messing up secret handshakes. Man, why hadn’t he and Sara come up with a secret handshake? ]
It looks like they’re having fun!

Nagi Rokuya | IDOLiSH7
Oh! Wow!
[For the better part of an hour, Nagi can be found standing around the outskirts of the entertainment district just watching his own cloud in fascination. As his thoughts and feelings appear on the cloud (usually totally innocent thoughts and feelings, mind you), he lets out little exclamations of delight and curiosity.
With a flash of light, a cute little girl holding a magic wand appears in his cloud for a moment and he gasps audibly.]
Yes! I was just thinking about Kokona! How does it always know??
[Maybe if he thinks hard enough about Kokona, he can watch a whole episode above his head!!]
Buddy System
[Being very new himself, Nagi is more than happy to be paired up with someone who might be able to help him get better acquainted with the area. He beams at whoever he's just been shoved with.]
Hello! My name is Nagi! It's a pleasure to meet you! ...OH!

Mothra | Godzilla
Rats...There were so many rats that she didn't know what to do as this wasn't really natural. Especially rats and rodents of those unusual colors. She was being extra careful around them and tried to herd them to where they could be safe, letting out chirps and gentle roars to them.
Someone help the giant moth out?
[II]
[Part 1!]
During the heaviest portion of the storms, Mothra can be seen trying to shield the buildings with either wings or her body, trying to protect the inhabitants within as she can easily take the lightening strikes and endure the winds and the rain. Not these tiny things. Her body and wings glows to dispel the storm using her god rays, making the darkest part as bright as day.
[Part 2!]
It seemed the be a somber time as she did help dig out the unlucky robots from their small grave, being careful with her front legs to not harm anything else while she digs and pulls out the "bodies". She goes to let out a few sorrowful sounding chirps as each body was a life she failed to protect.
[VI]
WILD CARD! Does your character recognize her from last time? Also I am open to anything and she can mother whoever is brave enough to go near the giant moth.
II.
Anyway it’s to clear the street and the way for pedestrians. It just so seemed unsightly to leave a local on the street.
Mu simply helps the others taking one of the unlucky robots who got struck by lightning (what are the odds of that?) to their final destination. Despite her somber song, “...You can help and take them to the temple.” He said and he was dragging the heavy metal body along.

jesse mccree | overwatch
Well, ain’t you a big fella?
[There’s a man crouching in front of a rather large rat, watching it with a smirk on his face. He’s dressed like a cowboy, of all things - though from the look of his metal arm he’s a rather futuristic cowboy.
He’s even got a cigar dangling from his fingers.]
Though you ain’t supposed to be here, are ya? C’mon now, git.
[He makes a shooing motion at the rat, who doesn’t seem all that impressed.]
comic logic;
[Perhaps McCree should be more concerned about his thoughts being broadcasted out there to the world - but he likes to imagine himself an open book. Don’t got that many secrets, not anymore. Not now that he’s living life on the run.
It’s a little invasive, though, being able to see the thoughts of other people. There was a point in time in his life where it would’ve come in handy. Maybe it could’ve changed the way things went down in Blackwatch. Maybe it could’ve stopped the whole thing from going tits up if he could’ve just known. Maybe, but he doesn’t have much time for maybes. Still, he can’t help but take note of what’s going on in people’s heads. Old habits die hard, he supposes.
He takes a breath, lets it out slowly, before giving the stranger nearby a crooked grin.]
I’m mighty sorry for what’s going on with all’a this.
[He gestures, vaguely, above their heads.]
buddy system;
[So. This is happening. McCree adjusts his hat, before looking over at his buddy.]
Well, you got anymore of an idea of what’s going on here than I do?
[He chuckles lowly, shaking his head.]
Because, quite frankly, I didn’t understand half of what they were sayin’ in there.
pied piper
So she can't really complain.]
They're very stubborn, aren't they? [She kneels down carefully and extends a handful of plain crackers crumbled up into small chunks to the rat he's talking to.] But they key to their hearts is through their stomachs!
[The rat cautiously approaches the offered food and Lillie stifles a giggle when its whiskers tickle the palm of her hand. She smiles up at McCree as the rat nibbles at a crumb. See? You catch more flies with honey and all that jazz.]

Lillie | Pokemon Sun/Moon (Games) | CRAU: LifeAftr
[The blond-haired child standing outside of Ainea's temple is dressed plainly, in a white dress with a wide brimmed hat, and she is absolutely covered in mice. She doesn't seem terribly bothered by this, and in fact is playing with them absently as she chats with a priest about the situation at hand. When she's done and has handed over a basket full of mice and gently shifted the ones climbing on her shoulders and head into the priest's possession, she sets out with an empty basket to collect more. Lillie nearly bumps into the next person approaching the temple because she's got her eyes fixed to the ground.]
Oh! I'm so sorry!
ii. buddy system
[Well, this isn't the first time she's woken up somewhere she shouldn't be. But her clothes are clean, her hair isn't in knots, and Nebby trails behind her cheerfully. Everything about this place lacks the malice and somber mood of the islands. So she really can't complain, right? It's a shame Guzma isn't here, though...
Lillie is surprisingly calm, if a little lost, as she's herded out into the street and looks apologetically at the person roped into being her guide.]
Ah...Hello. My name is Lillie. It's very nice to meet you.

Well, no surprise there. Will sweeps into a bow with a flourish, offering Lillie an encouraging smile.]

Edmund Pevensie | Chronicles of Narnia
[Edmund is dressed rather formally by modern standards, the overalls he and Peter had donned to sneak into the Professor's old home discarded as soon as he'd awoken. Slacks, button down, vest. His tie hanging loose around his neck and top buttons unfastened. As he steps out, utterly unhurried or frazzled by the robotic natives.]
Dangerous? I hardly think so.
[But his lips curve up in a small lopsided smile even as he nods to the person he's been shoved at, raising a hand in a lazy wave.]
You haven't seen other new arrivals have you? Specifically a girl about a year younger, reddish hair. An older pair, blonde boy possibly calling himself Magnificent or a girl with dark hair like mine? Very pretty... Same accent and same eyes. Usually my siblings and I all end up in these situations together.
IV. Comic Logic
[Edmund can be found often in any of the natural places in Havenwell. One might catch him napping under a tree, or just reading beneath it, images floating through his mind of other trees, ones that seemed to dance in the wind and move to welcome him with carefully arranged branches. One particular maple pops up time and again, often with a raven perched in her branches.
A vast seaside castle and various rooms of similar stone and style come up often but so too do sooty London streets, sometimes littered with rubble and the shriek of air raid sirens echoing over the rooftops. It's a confusing jumble and it is clear from the expression on his face that one of these brings sullen disappointment and the other hope and joy.]
III. Friend Connection
[No but really what magic is this? The metal men of the city insist it's a game of some sort but he's yet to find the Magician behind it all. Surely an invention of some Star that's gotten themselves in trouble but this is far grander than Coriakin's book, wondrous though that might be.
Once he's had time to marvel over the mechanics of it the "game" itself has him at a complete loss. He only had the vaguest idea what they meant by a game show but what little he knew was limited to radio shows. Still, he was hardly one to turn up his nose at an opportunity.]
I'm afraid I'm not at all familiar with any of this so I'll trust your judgement. Where should we start? I am quite capable of doing a handstand if you like?
V [/stumbles in at]
Why do people keep thinking he's available for newcomer chaperoning? (Probably because, being a kind and gentle soul (read in the same tone in which you would refer to someone as a gentleman and scholar), he keeps doing it.)
Still, at least this one is mildly interesting.]
I'm afraid I've seen no one of the sort - certainly no one who resembles you. It appears that this time you're on your own.
[He actually does sound a hair on the side of sympathetic rather than sarcastic, if it means anything.]

Aera Mirus Fleuret | Final Fantasy XV | ota
[ It's confusing, to say the least, to arrive in a new world. Especially because for a brief few seconds, she'd almost thought that this was, in fact, the afterlife. Eternal rest, peace, whatever one really wants to call it. But apparently, she is very, very wrong.
Before she can actually ask any sort of questions, someone else is being pushed at her. Some other poor soul is being shoved into this situation, and she can do nothing but blink. ]
...Oh. Hello.
[ That's it. That's the confused, eloquent greeting you get, good sir or ma'am. ]
[ I - Pied Piper go! ]
[ Aera is fond of animals, yes. Bunnies are cute, she adores dogs and cats, but rats? These things are known to bring plagues far and wide. And yet, she does not have the heart to get violent with them. Despite the disturbance that they've brought among the people here, despite the fact that they've been driving her mad, too... she can't do it.
Besides, despite their varying sizes, they come in fun, cute colors! It's why the Oracle has a bag of bread crumbs and a few very hungry, very curious rodents trailing after her as she walks. The aforementioned rodents start as one... then two. Then five, ten, and suddenly she's got an entire little army following after her, begging for crumbs.
She heaves a sigh. ]
This was not what I had in mind this afternoon, but I suppose it is better than doing nothing, yes?
[ II - Heck no we didn't start these fires ]
[ Aera is a helpful person by nature. At home, she was the Oracle and that meant that helping people, assuaging their fears, and all of that fun stuff was part of her daily norm. So she's eager, when a native asks for help in cleaning up and repairing some of the damage, and she jumps right in. She can be found in various spots, cleaning up here and there, or helping someone move something out of the way.
Eventually, though, she can be found at one of the temples sitting among a few robotic bodies. She's sitting on her knees, hands folded in her lap. She's very quiet for a few moments, deep in thought, before she finally looks up and speaks to whomever is closest to her or whomever has entered recently. ]
Rebirth... what a strange concept, don't you think?
[ Wildcard - ]
[ Got something better in mind? Go for it! ]

He tries to resist the urge for a while, but he knows, he just knows it's going to drive him crazy if he doesn't find out why. So at last he wanders over to her, brows furrowed in confusion, and lifts a hand to get her attention.]

Lunafreya Nox Fleuret | FFXV
[They were probably just looking for food. Luna couldn't fault them that. Food and water and a nice, warm place to sleep were basic things that every living creature deserved. Of course, she would have preferred it if they didn't choose the walls in her bedroom an then didn't invite their entire families - which apparently numbered in the thousands - to join them.
Which was how she ended up in this situation to begin with. Trying to gather them up into baskets and carry them out of town had worked, yes, but it had been slow work and she wasn't sure how big of a dent it was actually making. She needed to think bigger.
She had the trident, and it kind of looked like a staff if you squinted. She also had Pryna - who, has it turns out, was far more interested in giving the rat rides then she was in actually herding them. Have you ever seen a white, fluffy dog with a family of colorful rats on it's back? It's honestly quite the sight.]
Umbra wouldn't do this to me.
[Who was she kidding, he'd probably be worse.]
II: Play To Win •
[Lunafreya wasn't normally a naturally competitive person. Playing the role of cheerleader - and more than likely eventual healer - honestly suited her just fine. But she did have the advantage of being the younger sister, which meant there were certain things she excelled at. Everything being asked of them just so happened to be on that list.
They had already played twister. Had all done absolutely perfect handstands. They were so going to win this.]
Which should we do next? [Lovingly stare into each other's eyes and answer trivia questions, or pretend they were on a sinking boat.]
III: Wildcard •
[Feel free to catch Luna around somewhere. Hit me with your best shot.]

[Said the distressed not-yet-Chancellor of Niflheim, wearing simple shades of white and with far longer violet hair tied back a bit messily. It seemed as though he was trying very carefully to step around a small mob of rodents that had gathered around him, one of which seemed quite content to hitch a ride on his head.]
